Dish it Up is a interactive conversation where individuals can share their personal views, learn from others and engage in civil discussions concerning current events, topics affecting students' lives, UNL, and national/international happenings.
It is a space that fosters shared learning where everyone can engage in dialogue, challenge their thinking, and build relationships. Dish It Up actively builds an environment for all University of Nebraska-Lincoln community members and recognizes the importance of collaboration.

Topic: Law, Lyrics & American Life
How do the law and song lyrics interact? Does it depend on what kind of music is in question?
Richard Moberly, dean of the Nebraska College of Law, will offer thoughts about popular tunes and how certain types of music and lyrics have been used as evidence in criminal cases. He’ll give an overview of the legalities surrounding the use of rap rhymes as evidence and also share ideas about the role of lawyers in our country.
The presentation will be followed by an interactive audience Q&A and open forum. Casey’s Pizza will be served.
